Based in the UK and incorporated in 1999, the company advises clients as varied as the Onne Oil & Gas Zone in Nigeria and the World Free Zone Convention held twice annually in major business cities, including London, Brussels, Cairo, Capetown, Geneva, Izmir and Paris.
Free Zone Marketing creates marketing plans and implements promotional campaigns globally or regionally. Advice is given to public and private sector owners of zones on developing their marketing and promotion to prospective investors and tenants and on improving relations with their stakeholders.
Training in global marketing is provided for staff of clients either in the main trading capitals of the world or on-site at the zone itself.
Free Zone Marketing attaches great importance to advising client zones on the maintenance of good relations with their host governments, with the business community in their countries and with their work force and the local community. All of these audiences need to be informed about the aims, advantages, opportunities and achievements of zones but also about their problems.
Plans are prepared for clients to enable effective government relations and public relations programmes to be implemented and sustained both nationally and internationally.
Free Zone Marketing operates under the chairmanship of Ian Raitt MA FCIPR who is highly experienced in advising governments and organizations involved in world trade. Ian Raitt was for ten years the Consultant Director for the UK & Ireland of the Government of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM). Ian Raitt's responsibilities included promoting the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) and the Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA).
